I bought my California new in januari 2014 and had a lot of fun with it until last vacation in Italy. The roof didn't stay open at one side, but thanks to VW life assurance the problem had a solution for a couple of weeks. At home we had the same problem at both sides. Our VW dealer finally said it was a problem that they know... the tho cilinders leak a little bit of oil from one side to the other and must be replaced. Out of warranty we only have to pay the working hours(not the material) ... and then we'l see another two years.
