Hi folks,

New owner of a VW Beach here which does not have MF steering or cruise. I’ve now confirmed with various companies after supplying my VIN these can be upgraded but can only source companies in Wales or the midlands which is a bit of a cost/effort for what I’m told is not a big job. Also most don’t work weekends which means a holiday off too.

Anyone know of a Scottish that can do this type of work?

Much appreciated folks, thanks.

Callum

Hi Callum,

:welcome

I’m not aware of any companies in Scotland, however i am aware of two companies down south who carry out this type of work and are approved by VW.

one in Chertsey :Satnav Systems - I gave personally used then several times & they are excellent

one in Hertfordshire: Hazzy days.

a quick Google search turned up this company

you don’t need a new steering wheel , just the button, cable and a bit of coding.
there is another option to have the Cruise control on one of the steering column control stalks.

these were recommended on another forum

have you tried to contact you’re local dealer, they always have contacts to this type of stuff (maybe a bit more expensive but it will save travelling)

alternatively an independent garage specialising in VW

Most likely to get info on the T6 forum as Transporters have more upgrades post purchase than Cali's
