Door locking gremlins

Riding along in my automobile, the driver door open warning display came on but the door was definitely closed. Thought no more about it until I came to stop/start traffic when the continuous dash warning alarm sounded and a message came up asking me to ‘move the selector lever to the position P’ whenever I stopped. It got worse when I parked up and the key fob lock wouldn’t work. It was then that I found out the tailgate has no means of manual locking so I had to park it backed up against the garage overnight. Hells bells.

I pumped the lock with WD40 and nothing. So later I tried contact cleaner and nothing. The next morning I found the van unlocked .... but the key fob lock miraculously worked.

Happy ending - after just over three years this is the closet I’ve come to a problem - long may that last.

I know this is an old post, but I'm curious if this reoccurred for you? And if so, what you have done to remedy it?

My Cali has started suffering from a similar issue
