Hi all, just after some advice on a few subjects for when I take the Cali down to Lake Garda in June ish! First time in Europe with the Cali and it’s been a few years since I drove across France so any insights from anyone who’s done it recently would be great.

1. Breakdown cover? I can pay a bit extra for my Green Flag cover to include Europe, are there any other better options or companies to use in Europe?
2. Tolls? Emovis tag for France best? Vignette for Switzerland? What about Italy?
3. Campsites Lake Garda? Any recommendations for campsites around the Lake, my ideal would be to be able to walk into a town and also walk to Ferries etc to get around!

Any recommendations based on your experiences would be much appreciated!

Thanks
Paul

BipandGo tags cover France and Italy. Swiss vignette (lasts 12 months) is required for motorways, buy from official website (around 40euros) or at border crossings.

Fuel prices in Luxembourg, Livigno and Austria could be worth considering depending upon your planned route

Thank you

Thank you, have not heard of BipandGo before, will look them up!

Ok, thanks, will look at that, mines a TSI so pretty thirsty and that might make a difference!
AA Website used to have fuel prices by country, I’ve not looked for ages, so I don’t know if it still does. Livigno is not far from Stelvio Pass and there is no fuel duty paid there, so cheaper than most of Italy :)
