I have read lots of info on how to connect my Delta 2 Ecoflow and am still slightly confused! I use it not just in my Van but other applications as well. Can I simply connect to my 75/15 mppt load output and 2x100 w Solar panels(SCS) via a 12v cigarette socket to top it up as and when required when not EHU , I don't have the alternator charger so when normal driving would plugged into the vehicle. Many thanks

Solar panels are usually direct into the power bank via MP4 or XT60 connectors.

The 12v in the powerbank is for output, not charging.

The 12v in vehicles is rated to no more than 100w or so, but fine to use when driving to charge the power bank using the correct cables.. Hope this helps.

If I understand correctly you can connect the solar panels to your Ecoflow via the load output of the MPPT; it will then charge the Ecoflow once your leisure batteries are charged. You will need a cable to connect from the load connections to the input of the Ecoflow.

I have a victron mppt do would have to connect to that using the xt90 cable ,ie cut connections to screw into mppt.

What is on the other end of the xt90 cable? You could get a connection cable for that - this is what I did for my Bluetti.

@Ian Chappell based on the advice of other posts on this forum, connected a 12v female (cigarette lighter socket) into the load port of the Victron MPPT which then allows connection of the EcoFlow via a 12v male.

Then the Victron software can be used to control the charging regime to ensure the EcoFlow doesn’t get priority and then drain your leisure batteries and instead gets topped up when excess solar or when driving and excess charge is generated by the alternator.

Hope that helps?

One advantage of using a female cigarette lighter socket cable attached to the load output of your MPPT controller is that you can still use your male - XT90 cable to charge from the battery (albeit at <100W) when driving or out of sunlight.

I was going to get the xt90 and literally cut one end off and connect permanently to the victron and plug into the ecoflow as required

That's what is was thinking naming a tail permanently connected to the mpptt and just plug in car charger as required.

I had this reply from Ecoflow:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting EcoFlow Customer Service.

Generally, if your solar panel specifications match the Delta 2's PV port input specifications and the solar cable interface type is MC4, your solar panel can be directly connected to the Delta 2's PV port. We do not recommend connecting the Delta 2 to other solar panels (200W) via the Victron controller's load output interface. The Delta 2 has a built-in MPPT controller, so no additional controller is needed.

The Delta 2 can stop charging when a preset charge level is reached; you can set the battery's charging limit in the

I think that's what I said in post 2.

All powerbanks with MC4 or XT60 solar inputs have internal MPPT monitoring, so no Victron needed unless I'm missing something that you are trying to achieve?
