Filling the water tank easier

That is a good thing.. For emergencies.
I had a similar one but without the sucker.
It made it a 3 handed job.

I have exactly this solution. Works perfectly.

I also have one of these that I use when I will be away from a drinking water source for a few days so I need full tank. It's the quickest way to fill up.

Does that fit onto where the water tank cap fits ?
Then connect hose up to it ?

Precisely. All std "Hoselock" connections fit too so very easy to quickly connect and disconnect. I have a 10m water quality grade hose with std connectors for the tap that I keep in my Cali. Sterilise the hose in a bucket once a year (in the winter mainly) as a precaution and you're set to go.

I like it. The only issue for me is that the water tank is connected to
the filler inlet with a piece of hose and 2 jubilee clips. I had it once where the
clips weren´t tightened properly and water leaked into the van.
When i fill it now, i like to get the pipe in quite a bit.

Is there a piece of hose on the back of that filler cap or does it just spray water
from the rear ? :thumb

Prompted me to have a look.

No hose on back as photo's show. I can understand your concern but have not experienced the issue you describe. I guess you could attach a small length of hose so you could get past the Jubilee clips as a precaution but what happens then when the tank gets full? Thinking aloud:...... It will fill and then overflow so water will still go past both the JC's.....Maybe not such a good idea if you still have this concern about loose clips..........

I have one, works okay, its not too tight and once the tank is full it comes past the spring loaded seal so it doesn't pressurise the tank.

They do three versions what one suits the T5.1

When I bought mine I sent the German web site a message asking that very question - they replied in English. I think you will find they have a universal version which they will point you at but best to ask to avoid doubt.

Thanks do you leave yours hooked up onsite or is it just for filling at home etc. I used to have a Whale pumps mains unit you left attached and you just drew fresh water on request.

I only use it when I want to fill the tank to the top. Then I pack it up and put away until next use. For example when I know I will be away from mains supply for a few days. No it's not designed to be left connected as its is designed not to pressurise the tank. When the tank is full it will overflow.

When at home a 20 litre water carrier and a submersible whale pump plugged into boot 12v socket.

We resorted to Brandrup - as ever, expensive (except it wasn't for us as we got ours second hand from GrannyJ :) ), but does the job very nicely. I can happily watch it filling the tank as the heavy container hangs from the rail thingy!

Old thread, but still useful. Filled up the freshwatertank today and felt a bit like I was in an episode of 'Pat & Mat'. Just ordered the HEOSolution watercap. Seems like a useful addition to all the other stuff I buy for the van, don't really need, but still makes me happy I bought it.

I find that that the Quick connector on the food grade hose from the club shop fits nicely in the filler hole in the side of the van - haven’t flooded the van yet - touch wood!

we use a portable shower one end in a bucket of water with the shower head screwed off water goes straight into the tank no funnel or special connecters needed
