Filter to coolbox compressor California Coach 1991

Hi, I am looking for filter to the intake/output air compressor for the coolbox. The filter is located under the car, approx. 35 cm in front of the left rear wheel. VW Sweden says it is not in the market with them any more. What can I do? Is it possible to make the filter oneself? and in that case, what is the best material to do it with? Any suggestions on where to buy or how to make very much appreciated.

I took my fridge out once but I can't think what the mesh was like under the fan. The vents down below had a coarse filter like rolled up fishing net to stop sing getting back up.
