First Campsite Stopover

Just a 2 nighter reasonably locally at Kingsbury Water Park, to test out various things like putting Cali Topper on single handed ( would have helped bringing the small plastic folding step that I left at home )
Those of you who helped with advice on my stuck awning arms can see on the first photo that the arms don't seem overstretched in my opinion yet they wouldn't wind back in without 2 kind people pushing the hinges in whilst I wound it in.
Looking forward for some "real" adventures

A great idea to test out that stuff while staying local & short term.
I'm loving the look of your Cali.
I tested my awning at home on the drive after your post, and for what ever reason it does feel slightly un-nerving to get the arms to start to retract. For sure, stiffer than I expected even though (like you) I didn't 'lock out' the sides straight. There was definitely still a bend at the hinges but ..... I cringed a bit gettng it to move. Maybe we'll become desensitised to that and they will also loosen slightly with use.
