Fitting a tracker

Hi there, can anyone advise on fitting a tracker to a Cali? Dealer offering https://www.metatrak.co.uk/ for £590 ex VAT which seems expensive, especially as i assume there is also a subscription? Appreciate its a 'VW approved solution', but the insurance saving will take a long time to recoup...

Be careful when buying a tracker to cover insurance. I was refused insurance on my Cali by two insurance companies unless it had a MONITORED tracker. i.e. by a control centre

Suggest you might find another insurer who doesn’t insist on a tracker saving yourself £590 + £200 pa and a trashed van when its found, and recorded as stolen & recovered. Well that’s what I did sure one day they may all insist but until then.

Comfort Insurance don’t insist on a Tracker. They say that you need a Thatcham Cat.1 approved Alarm/Mobiliser (which the Cali has as standard) OR a Thatcham cat. 5 or 6 tracker.
