Have VW started production again?

Does anyone know if VW have started production again on the California, our first Ocean was meant to be built week 16 (mid April) so going to be a few weeks (months) behind in production, I'm sure VW will have no idea when we might be expecting info about a new delivery date!!

Don't know about VW but Mercedes and Porsche started back
last week, although starting slowly. i.e.1 shift instead of 3.

Tried asking them for the email address for head of sales for dealer at Norwich where we placed our order and they didn't have any info so didn't think they would know about production!!

London (CNN Business)Volkswagen reopened the world's biggest car factory at Wolfsburg in Germany on Monday after the coronavirus forced it to shut down for the longest period in its 82-year history.
The world's largest carmaker has made 100 changes to the way its plants operate as it tries to restart business without risking the health of hundreds of thousands of workers. Its experience underscores the daunting task ahead for manufacturers as they resume work in a world still reeling from the pandemic.
"We have never developed, produced and sold vehicles under these conditions before," said Bernd Osterloh, the top labor representative at Volkswagen (VLKAF).


Automakers plan to restart factories in early May. UAW says not so fast
The gigantic Wolfsburg plant is located on the banks of an equally impressive feat of human engineering, the 200-mile long Mittelland Canal connecting sea and inland ports in Europe. Originally built in 1938 to house workers for Volkswagen's factories, Wolfsburg is still home to the group's headquarters and has produced more than 45 million cars since 1945.

Our 6.1 Ocean order is also via Norwich. I have been in touch with Robinson's (car) dealership a couple of times over the last few weeks, as they are still open for Key Worker servicing and sales, and they have been exceptionally helpful. Until VW UK Head Office is back up and running they cannot offer any information, including what status your vehicle is within the production system. We are even more excited than before to get our Cali because it (hopefully) offers the opportunity to get away later this year in relative isolation.
