Driving down a pitch-black rural road in Holland on a trip in October half term, I realised I really needed to upgrade my headlights. They have never seemed particularly bright but the original lamps now seemed on the verge of being dangerously dim.

I did plenty of research and found a set of new Philips LED lamps that were compatible with my 2014 180SE :

Philips Ultinon Pro6000 Boost H7 LED

But having tried to fit them it seems as if they are not, as the attachment is quite different from the videos I had watched.

Pictures below - would be very grateful if anyone can offer wisdom about which bulbs to get which would provide a boost in performance without wholesale replacement of the headlight cluster.

Illegal in the U.K.

Use Osream Nightbreakers 220

OSRAM Night Breaker 220, a high-performance halogen headlight bulb offering up to 220% brighter light, a longer beam (up to 150m), and whiter light (20% more white) than standard bulbs, designed for improved visibility and quicker hazard recognition, available in popular types like H4 and H7 for a significant, road-legal lighting upgrade.
