Can anyone help please?
My van has been in today and had some electrical work carried out.
I've just noticed the flashing heater symbol on the top left of the control panel.

Any idea what it means or how to reset it? I'm guessing it's down to the main battery being disconnected.

Many thanks

Try this.

Check Control Panel Diagnostics.

Control Panel Off and wait 30 secs

Control Panel On

Press and Hold R lower button and then press Control Knob for 5 secs.

New Hidden Menu . Scroll to VW Diagnostics.

If there are any codes shown, take note and then Reset/Clear.

Return to Main Menu.

Switch Off Control Panel using L lower button. Wait 30 secs and Switch On.

Try Roof/Heater or Fridge

Good advice from @WelshGas. Also, as with any car/ van, these days the electronics need to recognise the battery to respond correctly. Normally this isn’t a big deal. I had major concerns when replacing my wifes Golf battery a couple of years ago, when the whole dashboard lit up with every possible fault imaginable! I drove the car 4 miles (to the VW dealer for help) and in that journey all the faults went off one by one. So I’d give it a bit of a run if you haven’t already.
