HEAVY-DUTY ANTI-ROLL BARS

The heavy duty roll bars were a factory fit on ours, I would imagine that they are available as genuine part but not from the 'accessories catalogue'.

I've asked at two dealers, Hereford and the now closed Shrewsbury dealership and they both said it wasn't possible for them to fit the heavy duty anti roll bar.

Not a specialist job, why not just order the part and get any local garage with a ramp to fit it for you?

Exactly. Simple job.

They said that it wasn't simply a case of swapping the bar but it needed other parts changing around it. They were both adamant they wouldn't swap it so I had it lowered instead which solved the problem. Not sure I would have been happy taking my brand new Cali to a non VW garage to fiddle with the suspension and potentially void the warranty.

I just swapped the whole suspension for the Seikel HD kit.
We added the Seikel HD 30mm lift kit too. And fitted the VW rear HD ARB. Very easy to do yourself if so inclined. Front is not easy so we haven't done it. They are two distinctly different things. Both worth having imho.

I tried to add the Heavy Duty Anti-Roll Bars to my 4Motion Ocean order but I couldn't have them because I'd selected Dynamic Chassis Control - still awaiting build date ☹️

Can I ask how much people have paid for having the VW lowering springs fitted inc parts and vat?
I had mine fitted from new as part of the 'deal' and they were heavily discounted. I think the usual charge is around £450.

Likewise. Laser alignment will probably be on top unless the dealer agrees to throw it in.

I wouldn’t want to sacrifice any ground clearance. It’s probably covered elsewhere but what are the cost and clearance implications of air suspension?

Air suspension, unless a basic non adjustable set is fitted, has no clearance issues.
You will be able to have standard, raised, lowered or very low ride heights available. it all depends on which Air system you fit. Some have up to 8 height settings
One main advantage is that the selected height will remain constant regardless of load carried. Steel spring suspension fully loaded can give less ground clearance than an Air Sprung System when in sports/lowered mode.
Gets expensive at £5000 or more.

I know it’s pricey. I’ve been a truck driver on European operations for years and have had air suspension and top of the range trucks most of the time. Now I have got my pension I intend to have the best in campers; at least the type I like. Only problem is I need to keep working to fund my lifestyle! Weekend agency work pays well!

Hi itguy, get your van, wait for the warranty to run out and fit H&R lowering springs and H&R H/D anti roll bars. Handles like a go cart
