Hello, I am new to the Forum as a member, but I have been benefitting enormously from the threads for many years as a reader. I have a 1992 T4 Westfalia California (AAB 2.4), originally from Germany, imported to Spain in about 1997 and then with one family until I bought it in 2014. It has done 392000KM, is on a second engine, twice-reconditioned gearbox and I have spent more money than is sensible keeping it on the road this last decade.
It is, as of this year, on UK plates.
Currently, I am weighing up drilling holes in the roof to mount roof bars, which in a worst case scenario would be a lot of wet pain for the relatively few hours of gain when I would actually have a canoe, SUP or something up there.
