Hello I am new here as a member.
I'll buy a T6 Cali Ocean Blue new in Swiss market
2000cc 204 ps 4x4 Manual 6 speed.
I would like to know opinions about this vehicle.
I heard that the ERG and the particulate filter gives problems at 30000 KM is that true?

I have T6 204 DSG 4Motion. However can't add anything to your query around ERG.

Hello Alison are you happy with your Cali?
What are the actual consumption in town?
I'm a little afraid to invest in a Cali because I never had a VW vehicle
But I did a test drive with the 150 PS DSG and loved is a very functional and very well equipped vehicle

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have kept hold of my older estate car for around town (dirty dog walking) use and so can't answer that part of your query. However, for long distances I am amazed at the efficiency of the Cali and the comfort for driving. Instead of replacing my daily driver I may be selling it next year to use the Cali as my only vehicle. Sorry I can't be definitive but hope this helps.

Hey JonasBest, I have a 150ps Ocean, bought in Switzerland. Absolutely loving it and the freedom it gives. Didn't get the 4x4 as that's not my style, and I don't know anything about the ERG. Remember the T6 has the bluemotion engine and I'm not sure it has a particle filter

Sorry, yes I made a mistake, EGR valve I heard that give problems very early around 30000 km this is true ??

These technologies are unavoidable these days so we just have to get used to them, The EGR valve can get gummed up over time but decent fuel and perhaps an additive like "millers" plus regular oil changes will keep this to a minimum, I like to remove the hose and spray the inside with some brake cleaner every now and again to prevent the build up.
DPF just needs to be driven hard every now and again to get it hot and burn off the heavy build up; they don't like short journeys.

T6 has Euro 6 emission spec. engine and that needed Adblue system to clean the exhaust so other than possible faults in the Adblue sensors or injection systems there shouldn't be any problems, at least nothing that a DIY fix is possible. Euro 6 takes emissions way bellow previous levels.
