Hi all,

We got our California Beach a few weeks ago now, doing really well for us + the four variously sized monsters. Haven't managed to get it out for a camp yet, but planning as many as we can this year. We haven't owned a camper before but the kids love camping in general, so hoping it's going to do us well.
In fact could certainly do with some recommendations of good french campsites for the summer and any other necessities :). Am going to have a good read through the forums, as they have come highly recommended.

Thanks,
Nat + family

Welcome Nat. We just got our Beach too. Thought we were doing well with 3 kids, but 4 is impressive! You going to attempt to all sleep in it?

Hi.
Not a chance! There will no doubt be fights over who sleeps where, but we are planning to find a drive away awning that has room to sleep 2, and that should cover everyone. Wondering if we will need a roof box to squeeze all our stuff in too.
We have a small local camp planned with just 2-3 of the kids and mum (I will be working) in the not too distant future, so hope that will clear up sleeping arrangements and what will fit.

Ah great. We're yet to try out sleeping configurations too. We're going away for the first time next week so will see how we get on. Ours are smaller - one just 3 and the twins nearly 2, so hoping to stuff them all in the top, or maybe use some kind of cab bed over the front seats. For longer trips I think we'll definitely need an awning so let us know how you get on!

A rear box or bag might be better than a roof box. You are very restricted with weight when popping up the roof.
