Hello there, we bought a new California 2 weeks' ago and headed straight to the Dolomites on holiday. What an amazing thing it is! It was wonderful to be able to drive to the top of mountain passes to spend the night away from the heat and crowds of the valleys, and even though we saw loads of Calis, it still turned heads when we 'unfurled'.

We're based in Geneva at the moment - a great location, but not a great city - so getting out at the weekends is important and the Cali is so flexible.

The Swiss dealers all told us that we'd have to wait +6 months if we ordered exactly what we wanted, so we ended up paying more to get something immediately available; it is specced with more optional kit than we would have got ourselves. I think the only options it doesn't have are the electric sliding door, interior alarm, that lane change warning thing and wifi.

I really appreciate the willingness of people to share info on the forum, as you soon realize that a Cali needs a lot of extra thought to get the most out of it and that it pays back the effort you put in.
