Since going down to a 3 day week we have toyed with the idea of getting a VW Campervan. Visited the NEC show in October and saw the various conversions on offer but after visiting the VW dealership in Tonbridge started thinking why get a conversion when we could have a California albeit not a new one. Couple of weeks ago spotted a 2014 model in mojave beige with only 9,500 miles. Everything checked out and it was immaculate and still smells like new. Been exploring with the handbook how everything works and we’re taking it down to Brighton for a 2 night break this week. As a Millwall fan looking forward to a long weekend near Middlesbrough at the end of April!

Welcome to the California life. But more importantly, welcome to 3 day weeks...!!!
Ive reduced my work hours to 3 days per week, to spend more time with our 2 year old. Its great having the time to use the Cali more.
Middlesborough is a dog hole. But loads of nice places south along the coast.
Let me know if you need a heads up ;)

Glad you are living the Dream.
Your vehicle is coming upto 4 years old and I trust it has been regularly serviced, despite the mileage.
Be aware that at 4 years it should have the Cambelt changed, even though you are nowhere near the 80,000 miles as there is also a 4 year time limit as well. The water pump is also normally replaced.
Also if you have 4wd or a DSG gearbox once again there are mileage limits for oil changes BUT also a time limit. Likewise AirCon needs to be re-charged every 2 years as the new refrigerant contains the lubrication.

Welcome where are the pictures ????
