Hi everyone,

We're Kev and Sam and we're total newbies to the Cali world. Due to pick up our Cali on 4/5/12 (180 man Olympian Blue) from Heritage in Bristol. Looking forwards to lots of adventures out here in Gower.

We've already picked up so many useful bits of info from this forum, so thanks all.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The Gower Peninsula is a very beautiful area great for Hang Gliding of Rhossili and also great beaches.

Enjoy your Cali when it arrives next month.

Hi kasi.
A friend who lives that way has recommended Three Cliffs Bay to us, so we may pootle over and see how beautiful it is.
Welcome.

Thanks both.

Three Cliffs is fantastic (we live about a fifteen minute walk away).

Hi Kasl,
Not long now! With a bit of luck you'll pick it up when it has stopped raining!
Post about your adventures; it all helps the club expand as a fantastic resource.

Weekend #1 done. Wow. Just wow.

Friday AM - Picked Cali up from Heritage in Bristol. Top marks for customer service, they were excellent. Really nothing to fault at all. Found out the Cali isn't a bad drive on the run back to Swansea - bonus. PM - Generally being overexcited and playing with the kit. Got hold of 2nd hand Khymer dome thingy.

Saturday AM - Tried fitting Khymer dome thingy in the drive without instructions. Very pleased with ourselves. Then Googled Khymer dome thingy and watched fitting video and realised we'd done it all wrong!! PM - Couldn't resist it, rang around and luckily got ourselves on to Nicholston Farm Park (I can seriously recommend this site). Arrived at site, hooked up ............... and then the crowds arrived. Seriously. Almost the entire site came over for: a look around, to complement us on the Cali, show the kids stuff. etc. Felt like we'd turned up in a Bentley!! Then fitted the Khymer, correctly but badly (this is going to take a bit of practice). Spent a wonderful evening overlooking the sea, cooking and learning how to do things with the Cali (including freezing the milk and orange juice - Max means MAX doesn't it!).

Sunday AM - Up early and back home to feed dogs. Clean Cali.etc...

Monday - Down to Oxwich Bay for a walk and an in Cali picnic. And ordered a comfort mattress from Nick (this site is a goldmine - thank you all :thumb !).

What a great vehicle and what a great weekend.

Brilliant post...... all looking good for fun times ahead!

Watchout with the Kyham awning and catching the side door as you open it with the awning up. We felt there was the potential to rip it if it was too tight or slightly in the wrong position.

We are out in ours this weekend for what will be our first proper weekend. Whisper it but it has been suggested the weather will be OK (aka dry!)

Yep, I regularly have icebergs in my milk. But on the positive side the beer is always COLD !

Nicholston Farm is a top site.

Hi - just done the deal on our pre-reg Cali 180 - very happy and relieved to have got one at last and now looking forward to heading off to France. We loved our Bay but luxury looks good too! Could someone tell us who Nick is - accessories??
