Hi there
Does anybody know what the exact position is of these hooks mounted on the roof?

It hooks onto the front scissor hinge close to where the scissor is fixed to the van when the roof closes so you could probably get pretty close by measuring then fine tune by trial & error (if it's in the wrong place the roof doesn't shut properly). Alternatively someone with a 6.1 might come to the rescue and measure the position on theirs for you...........
or if someone confirms that a 5.1 & 6.1 are the same i'll measure mine

This might help

Thanks for your reply.
I don't have any problems with opening or closing my roof.
The only problem is when i drive into a pothole or drive over a bumb i hear the roof meganism rambles and wonder in what degree this is normal?
Thanks for any reply and happy easter frome Belgium!

If the roof closes properly I would leave the hook as it is.
There should be a black plastic clip on the roof strut where the 2 come together, if that’s missing it can rattle. It’s part number 5 on the exploded diagram in the other thread.

The rear strut can also rattle where it comes into contact with its lower section, there should be a “factory fit” bit of plastic hose prevent metal on metal contact.

Also the gas struts on the bed can rattle against the bed frame, solved by wrapping the ends in cloth tape.

Happy rattle hunting - I thought all this was a thing of the past on the newer vans

Number 5 is present on both sides , plastic hose is missing.
Are you sure the plastic hose is a "factory fit" or a "dealership fit"?
Thanks again for your tips and reply!

Factory fit.

Hose is factory fit but you can just buy it (or very similar) at b&q. I think it’s pvc airline hose
