There was me thinking we hadn't used it much

Don't hold count ,
But wish it was more...:D

Some interesting thoughts regarding nights away. The question got me thinking.

I spent less nights in Albert in 2015 than I did in 2014 but my main memory is of the Cali coming of age. I used it more though spending less nights in it.

I used it as a soup kitchen, removal van, long distance tourer using hotels to overnight in, a spare bedroom for guests, a home for my dogs when visiting others, a study when I had builders crashing around in my house, a taxi, an ambulance transporting frail old biddies around (apart from me), a base vehicle for running events ......

If 2014 I was in love with the cali as a camper van in 2015 I fell in love with the cali as a utility, a flexible, reliable, comfortable vehicle that could be turned to anything and do it well.

Amazing! You really got around.

2015 was my first year with Ariadne and I camped for a total of 37 nights, exploring:
North Norfolk
Northumberland
Yorkshire Dales
East Sussex

I already have 22 nights planned and booked so far for this year, in Lincolnshire and Devon, and hope to add many more to this, exploring our own beautiful island with my canine camping companions.

No where near enough!
Thats the only problem that we have discovered with our Cali since buying it in October, not enough time to use it and we are both retired!
We have had lots of picnics but a only a paltry 6 nights away so far.:(

You need to try harder.
Read the cc magazine or this forum for inspiration!

I have only been away for 6 nights since October too - don't worry; it's much easier to make the most of the Cali once the longer days are here and we are getting closer by the day now

I think ours was 34 nights in the Bug and 14 nights in s/c cottages. Looking forward to planning our summer holiday this year. We decided not to go to our usual French gite and spend the time in the Lakes, Northumberland and maybe the Dales.

You are right, we do need to try harder. However it is not inspiration that we need, its more time. Being retired has turned out to be a very hectic business.

We have seven grand children, three of which we regularly look after for several days each week. Having recently found out that our services will not be required over the half term holiday in february, we had planned a longish break away in our Cali, Margot. However if he hasn't arrived before then, we have just discovered that number eight is due to be induced slap bang in the middle of that week! I am not moaning, we love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

Who would have thought that a glint in the eye all those years ago would eventually lead to Cali deprivation syndrome.

You can now see why we bought our shiny black, fully equipped SE escape capsule!

Have my Cali since April 15. We have had 100 sleeps in the van if you add on our teenagers sleeping in a tent beside us in France & Spain last July.

3 nights Devon
5 nights Norfolk
5 nights Pembrokeshire
6 weeks Italy with a few days in France there and back.

With other vacations (we had to use up a couple of BA air miles companion vouchers or lose them) we reckon we were away for well over 3 months last year!
