Insurance companies - European cover

Recognising the limitations of specialist motorhome insurers who may be picky about things like where the van is kept overnight if you leave at an airport car park etc ..... I have insured my Cali with a traditional insurer, Admiral. It costs more but I think it is a less restrictive policy

On renewing I got some quotes. A number of insurers say that European cover is included. But CHECK the small print here. With Admiral the cover is comprehensive in Europe for 90 days or so. But Direct Line gave me a cheaper quote though on delving into the detail the European cover was just THREE days comprehensive after which it reverted to third party :censor

As ever, insurance remains a minefield Pray that you never need to claim.

Do also check that Admiral will cover all the Cali interior & not just cover it as a plain van. So for example if you are at fault in an accident which damages the left side of the cali & also damages some of the kitchen items would they be covered ?
Some insurers do not cover kitchen items & interior.... see posts in the insurance section, in particular the Directline thread.
