Insurance for brand new Cali Ocean

Hi, we haven’t been provided our vehicle registration yet, any idea on how much insurance is for a brand new VW Cali ocean please? I realise there are many variables depending on age, recent claims etc. Well we are both over 35 and no claims ever made. It would just be useful to start getting an idea if anyone can help?

We live in a town centre, but a rural one so hopefully it won’t be as much as what you’ve been quoted, but those figures help me see the margins, so thank you and good luck with the move!!

You can use gocompare and similar sites even if you don't yet own the vehicle. They don't work with every insurer, but would give you a bunch of quotations that you could then treat as worse-case scenarios.

We swapped from Admiral to Comfort (Aviva) at renewal. Much cheaper.

We have just got a quote on money supermarket for a new Ocean, we are both 50 but will have no no claims as wife has a company car and I have my ncd on my daily until it goes back in a years time, wife with me named £471, me with wife as named £501 both with Admiral. Pretty impressed.

Some years back when insuring a private car after years of having company ones I got a proof of no claims letter from the Company Car Insurers which was acceptable to my Private Insurers.

We renewed this week LV / Aviva / Comfort were all similar & reasonable but Safeguard were £115+ dearer on same cover

Comfort £325...for a brand new ocean and two named drivers...Admiral whom I have cars insured with didn't know what a California was and therefore couldn't insure it

Just had a quote today from Comfort for our new T6 Ocean which is due to arrive in a month or so. They needed to know list price (£66k) before any discounts. 2 drivers, SDP, new for old coverage for the first 3 years. £252. Got 5% discount because mentioned our friend has a policy. Can't argue with that.

Comfort have just insured my new Ocean, no problem £360.
