First outing in our 6.1, 2024 4 motion 340 California Beach….. have fitted the Van Essa kitchen which is superb, totally fit for purpose here in Australia ( leaves the interior very spacious ) & cooking inside generally isn’t such a good idea as we’ve found in other vans, Hiaces ). Window fitting Vaude bags well worth the investment & insulated sun blockers for windscreen & passenger/driver excellent.
Pleased with the performance of the 340 ( had no choice), however plenty of low speed pick up, overtaking reserve, & cruising at 110 kmph. Impressive economy for 2.5 ton vehicle… 7.8 l/100 km including much crawling through rough sandy tracks & beaches in our South Australian National Parks. ( Probably will be able to improve on that depending on where we take it here). Trialled both upstairs & down for sleeping, luxury after years of small tents, so many clever design features making life more enjoyable… anyway looking forward to years of fun!
