Should be a good time to go - its been horrendously busy recently.
Tips:

buy a Comfortz Windscreen Cover
have a pizza at the Square Orange cafe in Keswick
visit Castlerigg stone circle at sunrise/sunset
theres a great chippy in Penrith - but I’ve forgotten its name - sorry

Your not far from ullswater there . Worth a visit. Beautiful. Go for a pint at the inn on the lake.as for pizza. The beckside bar in glenridding does some great ones at a reasonable price and has Wainwright in draught

Thanks for reply we have already got a windscreen cover and believe this is our best purchase so far for the van
Went to Keswick it was lovely we didn’t make pizza but found the Bank tavern pub down high street had the best lunch
