Leak noise on boost

Hi
When idling there is no noise but when driving and on boost there is a hissing noise like some kind of leak. I have normal power. It’s 2.5 174 t5 California 2008. Local garage could see any sign of a leak..
Anyone had a problem like this and know any reputable repairers that won’t charge vw rates? I’m near Stockport. Thanks

Boost hooses, the connection between those, or intercooler. Start looking there...

Have you looked at the exhaust manifold around cylinder 1 the studs snapping and the manifold warping are quite common. The other common issue is the support bands for the intercooler corroding and failing apart causing the intercooler to split have a look the other front grill with someone raving the engine and see if the cooler is expanding excessively.
