LED DRL's with Xenon headlights

hi, My Beach is due its first service next week and I've been toying with the idea of having the Bumper mounted OE DRL's fitted. I phoned the dealer to book it in and request the light strips and surrounds be painted and asked them to fit these, They basically said they can't fit them to mine as it has Xenon headlights as standard and that the power to the add on lights would be too great for this upgrade as the Xenons run on higher volts?

Surely the feed comes from the sidelights within the existing light cluster which are LED signature lights "standard" as I specced these when I purchased it.

I've seen other T5's with both Xenon & the bumper mounted inlays so what gives? Any one on here have both? Curious as I would like these.
