Long time camper, motor home, caravanner considering 4Motion

Hi,

joined to learn more about the Californian 4Motion with a view to replacing a VW Touareg as a towcar.

"Of a certain age" and based in the East of England.

Currently have a 2 tonne Hymer Nova 850 caravan for long stays on one site, but considering a camper for overnighters and weekenders, especially in the winter.

I tow with a 4 motion and it's brilliant. I have it shod with Michelin all season and never been stuck, even to having to get our Eriba off saturated grass 4 weeks ago.

I tow a horse trailer about 2t and same spec and tyres as Granny Jen. Not got stuck yet it seems fine. The Shogun would out tow it but thats to be expected. For your intended use I think you will be fine

Thats parked on sand, no problem
