thanks glue it is thenHad similar issue here, but on the table. Eventually used epoxy glue in the bottom of the u section, or the edge of the panel with the trim kept in place until epoxy set by a couple of very tight ratchet straps overnight. (Clean excess epoxy immediately)
You could also try some paper wedged in the channel which kept it in place, but only for a couple of weeks.
I've found the ' Thick " Superglue very useful on vertical surfaces. Sticks quickly and just need a few spots rather than the whole length of detached trip.tha
