A mere 14 VW vans in the campsite we stayed at on Thursday and Friday night, including a red Beach on a 12 plate! Nice watching the Sun set into the sea - I grew up nearby.

Tristram in Polzeath. I worked in the restaurant when it was a surf shop, many years ago! Grew up in the area and still love it to bits!

It's pricey and a bit OTT on the warning signs but the view and location is hard to beat.

Looks a brilliant location and quite fancy it but just looked at the prices. £42 a night in the high season!! £25 a night in the "budget area" but it states only two adults allowed and we have two kids in tow as well.

I think we'll have to look for somewhere a bit cheaper down there. Any other campsite recommendations for surfing/beach activities in the general area?

Trevedra Farm near Sennen is basic but lovely and near Gwenvor Beach. Also check Treen campsite near Porthcurno on the South coast of the county. Again very near the beach and stunning! Both are much cheaper!
