Marco Polo bike rack

Hopefully someone on here can help with a query relating to bike racks.

Does anyone know if the MB Marco Polo bike rack would fit to a California Beach?

Mercedes can't help and recommended that I try the forums!

Do you mean this one? my guess is not as a T5 doesn’t even fit a T6. Have you seen the light and decided to sell a Marco and by a Cali instead?

That's the one! I am a fully signed-up member of the Cali lovers club and drive a Beach.

It's just that I know someone who wants to sell their MP rack and need to make sure it fits OK before part with my hard-earned.

My guess is that it won't. These things are designed for specific vehicles.

The Marco Polo is wider than the T5/6 so the tailgate will be wider too.

Looks like the MP has a flatter tailgate, look at the rack bottom crossrail which would need major modifications to fit the Cali. Top fitting most likely to be different as well.

If they were the same there would be a commercial bike carrier that "fits both VW & MB" on the market.

I think the only thing that will fit a VW in the pic above
is the washing line and leecy cable.

I am pretty sure it won't fit as even T5 and T6 don't interchange.
