Mechanics in Dublin

Any suggestions for non dealer VW mechanics in or around Dublin for a T6 Cali?
Standard service no big jobs. Thanks for any recommendations.

@OverDub did you ever get any luck looking for a non VW mechanic for your Cali?

I’ve got a T6.1 (new to me since May) but so far have only used VW Commercial (Bright Motor Group) on the Northside.

I can recommend John Walton at Walton’s Garage in Ranelagh (D6) without hesitation. Been going there for years after a recommendation from a friend and never looked back. The only mechanic I trust 100%. You know he’ll do a good job and known he won’t bullshit you.

Given his location, most of his day-to-day is handling Mercedes, Audis and BMWs. But I know he’s done a few Calis too (mine is still under warranty and I’ve got a laundry list of warranty repairs to get done at every service so I’m still going to the VW dealership for my Cali. Will switch back to John the minute the warranty has expired).
