I counted 14 barges, all gently rotting away.

From Google satellite view it looks like I miscounted and there are 16.

There’s loads of those beached on the Severn at Sharpness near next weeks Slimbridge meet. Done deliberately I recall at Purton to prevent erosion of the narrow bank separating the Gloucester canal and the Severn.
