Multi Media Wifi T6

Can anyone confirm for the T6 that for you to utilise the multi media WIFI system you need to buy a USB 3G Data stick once plugged allows the van to act as a wifi hub? If so whats the best one ?

There are long threads about mifi and 4G boxes, have a search.

It's possible to tether the headunit to a smartphone & then use the van as a wifi hub but seems pointless to me - surely it'd be one less step just to connect to the source directly rather than introducing an intermediary?

I'vw been doing some research, it looks like you buy a VW car stick and insert a data only Sim in it. It then allows the van to act as a hotspot for any device you want to use. Sticks are on Amazon for about £95

Correct but activating the new sim in a car stick seems to be a challenge for some..

you would be better to use a windows PC to set up your Wi-Fi dongle
