So I believe this is the heater remote Antenna, the plastic bracket is a bit bent, but it is meant to sit above the door and below the glass line. The exposed wire is the Antenna, it is a screened cable (Inner core with metal outer (coax) like a TV aerial cable. The metal outer is connected to the earth stud right next to the cable end. I would just carefully place it back with some strong tape, re bend bracket, you can see where the foam tape used to hold it in positionI am in process of replacing a blown up speaker on my T5 California 2007. After removing door card I found a remnants of a cable which purpose is mysterious to me. Anybody knows what is the purpose of it and where it should be placed?

Thanks, It totally makes a sense. But what is the purpose of the heater remote antenna? It is a heat sensor? Or antenna for some wireless remote control? Cheers. So I believe this is the heater remote Antenna, the plastic bracket is a bit bent, but it is meant to sit above the door and below the glass line. We have a separate remote control for the interior van heater and you can trigger it from a reasonable distance to pre heat the van. Thanks, It totally makes a sense. But what is the purpose of the heater remote antenna? It is a heat sensor? Or antenna for some wireless remote control? Cheers.
I reckon that will be it. Might be useful to keep it there just in case. Thanks. We have a separate remote control for the interior van heater and you can trigger it from a reasonable distance to pre heat the van.
