Nespresso Coffee Machine

It won't work in a Cali without hookup.
Do a search, there is a big thread on this subject with more questions and answers.

Here is the thread in question.

Those devices use too much power to work with the inverter. This is my solution

Thanks for the link to the thread... Loving the serious look of your 'solution' You're talking my language :thumb
What on earth is it?!?

It is a stovetop coffee maker with milk frother built in, kind of like an extreme mokapot :)

Similar ones avaiable from Bellman or the eye wateringly expensive Atomic Coffee Maker. http://www.atomiccoffeemachines.com.au/ Lovely looking though.

Mine is a 1970s one, still works great. I think I paid about £40 quid for it but that was shipped from america.

Basically brew the coffee, then close the valve, pressure builds up and lets you steam the milk with the other nozzle :D

Oh only downside, can be messy if you get it wrong lol new ones are about £100 but hard to source in the UK so often imported.

The Atomic is huge … this is a more compact and less expensive solution. Make a good espresso in the old italian kettle, varm milk and make foam with the whip – you can even prepare the milk, while the brew is going on ;-)

Matt, WTF? You've been watching too much Colin Furze. :pinkbanana

I have nespresso at home and had multiple coffee devices in the van and always come back to aeropress for compact stowage and great results

If that is the case, I can recommend BODUM, they make nice coffee "pitcher" for multiple cups Bistro Coffee. Coffee in, hot water in, press and ready! We have used them for many years.

That's what we use - classic simplicity. Though what it makes isn't strictly speaking Espresso.

Google "Costa Coffee" near me, wild camp near by

Aldi Gold instant for us.
We'll be 20 miles down the road by the time you lot have finished " pressin' and frofin and muckin' about":Iamsorry

Rather be a little late, or have nice coppa tea instead ;)

In the Cali I just use a simple conical filter with hand ground beans and a kettle, nice and simple or for a slightly better brew an Aeropress.

Is your insurance still valid if it explodes and powder coats the interior with "latte arty"?!! :Nailbiting:Nailbiting:Nailbiting:Nailbiting:Nailbiting

But before I take the plunge, will this work in the Cali without mains hook-up? I have a T6 Ocean...

If not, would be helpful to know which coffee machines work well, so I can make a latte on my travels :Stig
If you go for the Nespresso to use on mains, I would recommend the Pixie as it is much smaller.
Having said that ours stays at home as there's no room for it in Starlight.

+1 for the bodum - been using it for years. Lovely to be able to drink whilst driving along (carefully if you're behind the wheel ) and it keeps the coffee hot for ages!

I concur. We have this one in aluminium (unbreakable), insulated (double-walled), easy to clean - perfect for Calicamping:
