New arrival from the 'otherside'

Good evening , just taken delivery of 'Bertie' today .
Emotional rollercoasters seem to be a common theme on this Forum over last few months , doubt it will help too much to lower the blood pressure of members waiting patiently for their vans but we have also had our share of fun over on the 'otherside and that is certainly not any 'greener'. Mercedes were offering some pretty decent discounts in Aug/Sept on new Marco Polos ( via Carwow) so we paid the deposit and bunkered down for the 9 month wait , however it became evident that these discounts were unlikely to be honoured in full ,( various technicalities within the Carwow/Dealer/MB string ) so we jumped ship , retrieved our deposit and secured Bertie 2 weeks ago ( Dec 20 pre reg) , our Grey Merc 300 AMG with Leather became a Green and White 4 motion VW with cloth seats , all pretty similar don't you think ! Anyway so far so good , we look forward to some great adventures and exchanging ideas / advice with the forum members .Stay safe everyone.

We looked at the Mercedes Marco Polo, local dealer wasn't much help and there were no physical vans to view let alone test drive. We ended up hiring a VW for a week and placed our order shortly after. We are one of the many waiting on delivery.
