I sold my Cali a few months ago as wasnt getting to use it among a few other things. I had expected to replace it early next year (Ive had two and think they are great). Ive had a look around though and the prices are crazy. Yup, I got a good price for mine however when comparing to a Wellhouse Ford Transit conversion the VW just seems hugely overpriced. Thinking one of the Milano 3s with a couple of extra options added in, a 2016/17 model is over £10k cheaper but also comes with a warranty, not something that you get if buying private from one of the ads on here.

BIt of a shame, but I am looking forward to my new Ford adventures.

I nearly bought one of those, I was impressed with the conversion, value and their passion, they were plan B in a plan of A to E and four years to decide.

Not looked at one before but just went and watched a video. Nice layout and seem to be well made. Enjoy your adventures.

There are quite a few converters giving VW a run for their money, we were opposite a LWB VW converted by Westfalia in Spain recently which was impressive.

Our friends have an Ecowagen conversion and I have to say the quality is extremely good. We love our Cali but I would definitely consider them if I was going to change ours.

I recently purchased a T5 after researching why the prices appeared high compared to conversions and concluding that VW don’t take a Transporter and convert it, it is actually purpose built as a camper and has all the crash and other tests certified as a camper, hence the build cost is higher. I also noticed that the upper bed load was also double on the T5 versus one conversion I looked at and that was because of the way the converters had cut out the roof giving more width to the upper bed than the T5 but their roof wasn’t reinforced around the aperture in the same way and the bed base was not as strong. I have no bias either way, my research was purely based on data received and viewed on the internet.
