Noisy elevating roof pump

The elevating roof pump made an odd screeching noise when I just opened the roof. It sounded like plastic gears slipping. The roof is up ok and level. Any ideas? It's got to come down in a couple of days

Me too but not at the weekend or in the evening just in case you need recovering afterwards

Tried the roof today and it worked normally!!! Phew
