Offside rear window blind

Hello there,

had a window blind problem this weekend,

Each side of the side window blinds has a fine braided wire running the vertical length of each guide slot, and at the bottom a black plastic slider. The slider has a small horizontal tab on it. One of these tabs has snapped off, leaving the aluminium bar free on one side and the sliding part still on the wire.

has anyone else had this problem and is there an easy fix?
