Parking heater troubles

Just bought a 2009 Cali se.
Heater controls says it should be on but no noise nothing no matter how long I wait. Added the new Earth shunt done it on hook up, with engine running without engine running. Roof up roof down. Done the controller reset as suggested on another thread.
I have the remote for it and the battery is dead on it.
Don’t know if this stops it working?
Really don’t want to put it to a garage as I hope it’s user error but I’m pulling what Little hair I have left out.
Also checked fuses under seat and in dash. Plenty fuel plenty battery life.
It worked first time when the guy I bought it from showed me the van?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Frustrating. You’ve done all the sensible things. Can you take it to the previous owner before going to a garage?

Looks like you know what your on with and done all the usual tests. Try a error code read on the panel. Full of fuel. On hook up. I hear sometimes a plug comes loose on the back of the control panel. Pop it out as if you were doing an emergency roof lower and have a look there mate. The remote control battery is irrelevant you are again correct. Also check it's not programmed on a timer and put it on high 10 setting
