Just back from a week around Wales and the highlight was Trellyn http://www.trellyn.co.uk/ Superb place which I highly recommend if you like to be away from it all (not a white box in sight). There's only one pitch with a hook up "Dandelions Home" (we nabbed it as we wanted to stay put for several days) but if you're weekending or touring this won't be an issue. Composting loos are down in the further pitches (quite a walk to the showers)
Each pitch is carefully set out so that you really cannot see anyone else and every view is of the woods.
They only have 6 pitches, all are hidden away in the woods. There are also 6 "structures" which are all canvas-based yurt-style including the incredible "Hobbit Yurt" in case you fancy something else. Facilities are nice (may be a bit crowded in the summer holidays) the only slight downside is that the nearest shop is a couple of miles away, but this didn't really bother us.

We arrived and were greeted by Kev & Clare the owners and had a really nice chat with them. Half an hour later and I was having my "woodcutting course" It's an art, I tell you! - Trellyn supply endless firewood for you to use in your own, private (covered) outdoor eating/sitting area that has the campfire and cooking grill.

Trellyn is at Abercastle in Pembrokeshire and located about 9 miles from St Davids in the west and Fishguard in the east (Pop into Ffwrn in the latter for great home made breads and pies!)

On the last night they invited us and the other few campers down into their own garden for "Pizza Night" where their proper job wood-fired pizza oven made short shrift of our pizzas. Really nice end to a great time there.
Abercastle is a little place with no real facilities but this meant we rather had the place to ourselves. We sat by the sea and ate a picnic which was great. You can take the free sea kayaks out or (as Benj is a bit small for these) we just mulled around, rockpooling, exploring and cycling about. Porthgain isn't too far away and has a tiny pub and an eatery on it's cute little seafront.
Abercastle
We did take the bus to Fishguard (not desperately regular but fine) as the weather was a bit unpredictable (turned out fine in the end) where we found Ffwrn, had a bite to eat & wandered around the lower town and spent a totally relaxing week in Wales. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
