Just thought I post a few pictures of the wonderful Peyriac-de-Mer which I am fortunate enough to call home. Set in French National Parkland it has Étangs (salt lakes) next to the Mediterranean Sea and walks in verdant hills around them. There are at times hundreds of pink flamingoes, sunrises and sets that combine to make it a truly magical place that soothes the soul. I hope you enjoy the photographs and perhaps visit one day.

I’ve often seen it from the A9 / A61 as we’ve whizzed by and wondered what it’s like down there. Do you have any site recommendations?

We went past this area on the Paris to Barcelona train last Autumn. Absolutely stunning, saw loads of flamingoes. We vowed to return in the van!

OMG! And your job is - marketing for French Tourism ??
I can see how that looks but no sadly I received no money for taking time and effort to introduce myself and my hometown as a new member here. As VW’s are all about seeing new places I thought I share a place so others who don’t know about it may wish to visit too.

There is a gated campsite just next to the village, I will take a picture and post it up, but as it’s the only one it should be searchable online too. Adjacent to the campsite there is a large car park probably with height restrictions sometimes it’s 1.95mtrs and sometimes 2mtrs I’ll take a look at that too next time I’m passing. I’m out n about with the Cali and loving every minute
