Hi All
We're heading to Jersey this summer using the Condor fast ferry. As its a very early morning start we plan to stay locally the night before and I understand it is possible to stay overnight at the ferry terminal itself. Has anyone had any practical experience of the arrangements at Poole Harbour? If so, would love to hear.
Many thanks

Beware if you are going on liberation, we travelled to Jersey in June on a calm day, people were being sea sick everywhere, also when we went down to the car deck we found our Cali had been showered with sea water for the entire journey.

I wish I had read the news reports and trip advisor before booking.

Sorry, this does not answer your question!

Not 100% about in the actual terminal but dotted around in the nearby local area are plenty of pay bay spaces that are free to use between 6:30pm and 8:30am. Few near the water like at nearby batiter park are marked as no motorhomes so don't try there.

We have been looking at jersey for next year. Has anyone taken a dog? Are you allowed on car deck during the journey? I'd rather keep her company cos she's a nervous character....the dog, that is!

No Im pretty sure you're not allowed to take dog up on deck with public, it would have to stay in the vehicle but I think you can visit (supervised) and the crew will check periodically also.

We camped there once and it was fine. You pay a tiny sum to the cafe to park up on the right over by the loos. The cafe was shut when we got there so it was free... Don't panic if you wake up to a tannoy announcing last boarding, there are many ferries that leave there in the early hours. It was fab for our 5am ferry

Thanks - presumably the place where you park is obvious when you get there?

It was to us. Just like you are driving towards going to the ferry boarding huts and there it was!

Hi

You will need to leave the dog in the van but the staff are great and will keep an eye on her and should give you access during the Journey. The crossing is not too long and the weather is of course not predictable. Jersey is great for dogs surrounded by great cliff path walks that are great for dogs, the beaches are good for dogs with St Ouens, (5 miles long without much development) a must. For refreshment a great pub La Pulente and great beach restaurant El Tico both dog friendly, remember dogs only allowed off the lead on the beaches in the summer months before 10.00am and after 18.00.

Have Fun
