This is an excellent tool if you want to know the factory installed options for your vehicle.

You have to enter this site: http://prsearch.planetvag.com/ and enter the 3 character code you find in the sticker on the owner's manual.

Here is the example of my California 180 4 Motion DSG 7, now sailing in the Atlantic and arriving the 19 August at 07:00 hours!!
You can notice the items very useful for off road travel.

Stu, so am I right in thinking from your PR Codes that the Berghaus edition is based on the Comfortline and not the SE?

Chris

No I don't think it's unique to the Berghaus Chris. So far as I can see the Berghaus is a normal SE with a couple of bits added when it reaches the UK.

Just going from your PR Codes Stu......

A8R = California "Comfortline"
E0A = No special edition

Chris

Yep, I got what you were saying but I'd wager all UK California SE are Comfortline.

The No Special Edition also ties in with my thought that the Berghaus is born in the UK from simple accessory additions to the factory specification. If you think about what it's got over a factory SE -

Seat covers
Alloy wheels
Bike rack
Tacky badges
Floor mats
Bag full of Berghaus 'goodies'

All of which could be added in the docks.

The Berghaus (like the T5 Sportline van) comes from Germany as a normal vehicle and is converted in the UK which is why it is not listed as a Special Edition.

cheers

I suspect you are correct - the UK SE moniker is simply that, it doesn't appear on the van. Every other market has the California in mid range Comfortline Trim.

In Germany at present there is Comfortline and Comfortline Edition - which is where I suspect that PR code comes in.
