Hi all.

I know there are several posts out there already for setting up projectors in vans, but thought I would share my pic's and description of how mine's been set up.

PARTS I USED

Spring Loaded Pole (Amazon) - £12.99 (Will also be good for hanging tea towels or clothing etc!)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LUYNCTG/?tag=eliteelect-21
109 cm -191 cm

Adjustable Go Pro style Linkage for connecting projector to pole
Cost - Not sure as I already had these, but you can buy non GoPro style ones very cheaply!

Bracket for hanging projector off near poptop roof opening
I just used some bits and bobs that I already had in my garage. Probably on a few pounds if you need to buy them

40" Durnic collapsible Projector Screen - Amazon - £37.99
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EQBB5VM/?tag=eliteelect-21
Great bit of kit and light weight too. Comes in it's own case and just fits in Cali wardrobe.

Mini Portable Projector OTHA 1080P HD Video DLP Pocket Projector with TouchPad Wifi Home Theater Pico Projector Support HDMI Chromecast PS4 for iPhone - £209.99

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MNQJFZ1/?tag=eliteelect-21

Speaker
The projector volume is ok, but if you want good quality sound, you'll need a portable bluetooth speaker.

I use a water resistant medium size Bose speaker which is great

Looks great! Could you do without the screen and project onto the inner tent, if the roof is up?

Yes you could do that and a lot of people do, which also looks good, but I just fancied being able to watch it with the roof down in case the weather is bad. Plus I can use the projector outside hanging off the van or a tree etc, and putting the projector on a table.

Love that, I have a Pico Genie, that I use to transfer line drawings fir my art, and was wondering how I could use it in my newly ordered Coast. Thanks for suggestions, and helpful photos

I have a very similar set up different projector but same screen which sit perfectly also when the roof is up without the need for any support needed, when packed away sit pefectly behind bench seat. I have been try to think how to support the projector across the middle and you just solved that for me CHEERS pole ordered.

Are you saying you can put this screen in the rooftop and it stands without support?

Good setup - I'm looking to replicate your screen system. What is the hook you use to hang the screen from please?

I wedged an L shaped piece of metal I found in my garage between the roof trim and then used a bow shackle to secure the projector screen which are very lightweight. Very cheap to do and very sturdy . Hope this helps!

Yes, will look at the screen tomorrow to see if it has a name, order via Amazon but can not check previous order as changed accounts.

It sure does, as the projector screen has small fold out legs that support it

Hi this is the screen I use, it sit perfectly across the roof with no need for added support, also sits behind the back seat when not in use. I paid £54.00 in the sales period.

Not seen a price for this yet but it looks really good.

US Price is quoted at $899 lots of accessories available which will bump it up quite a bit.
Thanks @campandfly
Expensive but not something for us anyway. If we watch TV or videos we’re quite happy with our iPad screen :)

Samsung is vaunting this as 'revolutionary'. Personally I don't see what its bringing to the table over and above other far cheaper offerings.
