I am stuck in a very pleasant campsite in Morroc unable to move because the step will not retract. Plus the ambient lights do not work - not the end of the world because the strip lights do. In addition the pump will not pump. The water tank is full and the waste water tank is empty. The heating works, and the boiler is functioning. So is the fridge. I am on hookup and the battery shows 100%, 13.4v as I write. Three things, seemingly not connected: step, lights, water pump are not working. I changed the 7.5 fuse for the lights to no effect. JUSt before coming here, I left my GC600 for 8 nights off grid with everything off and the battery went down, eventually to 30% in the orange. I ran the motor a while to top up each day. The step popped in and out without complaint. When I started up to leave the battery was about 30%. I started the fridge on full, drove off and found the step was out and that was that! DId the boosting of the fridge muck things up with the fidge, ambient lights and step? What can I Do. It is no good going to VW because they say they can't do anything for two months and anyway they don't know how the hell anything works, nobody does. I have read every manual, blog and everything I pick up. What the devil is going on?? Can anybody help please?

I can’t answer your pump question but I have noticed that with the new software upgrade I can’t close the step if I have the EHU plugged in, even if it’s off. I would suggest unplugging it and if the step still won’t retract, try starting the engine. Good luck.
