Quick Charge Mode 6.1 Beach

Having not specified an EHU on a beach, discussed with the dealer the option for modifying the order to include it however their comment was it would cause further delays to do so and that I can use QUICK CHARGE mode to top up the leisure battery when driving.

Can anyone shed any light on this mode? Does it exist? Thanks in advance!

Yes it is a new feature with the 6.1.
When you select it, the alternator keeps charging rather than going idle when the starter battery reaches 80%.
All the batteries on a 6.1 have battery monitors now.
Normally, when the starter battery reaches 80% the alternator stops charging to reduce consumption and leave headroom for regenerative braking.
This new feature will help you achieve full leisure battery, but rather than change your order, I would plan for a solar panel and charge controller post delivery.
