Quiet campsites in France

hello everyone,

Really struggling to find a campsite in France that meets everyone's requirements and hoping someone can help. Family of 4 with a 3 and 7 year old. We want to be near the sea at a site with a pool but NOT at a resort style site with entertainment! We are looking at La Rochelle/Royan areas or Perpignan/Montpellier.

From what I can tell the sites by the sea are all focused on entertainment, or they are very rustic with no facilities.

Can anyone share some great sites that are quiet, have a pool and are well located for beach access??

Which month are you looking at going, as often entertainment is only height of the season?

I should have said we are going in August!

I,m not sure there are any quiet sites in August but there are some beautiful sites on the Ile de Re which is a beautiful island next to La Rochelle.
