Rack carrying weight limit

I am waiting for delivery of a Mate X electric bike. It looks like it weighs the same as a small horse. Does anyone know the carrying limit of the standard VW rack on a 2013 California Beach? At a push I could fold it up and put it inside but I would prefer not to if I can carry it outside
